I live and work in beautiful Sweden, in Skåne (the very south of Sweden) with a nature as varied as the dialects! My passion is photography, and at last it also became my profession! But it was after a bit of crooked ways in terms of work. Before I started my company Kullafoto in 2006, I had worked in advertising, book publishing and sales in the clothing industry! Then I had time to even get three wonderful children! All these work and life experience has given me a strength that I now use in my job as a photographer! I can better meet customer expectations and learn what the customer wants. My three children learned how to approach a child. This is of course invaluable in child photography where you often have to use your tricks for the child to relax before the camera! Being a photographer is sometimes like being a kind of psychologist! Both when working with a wedding couple, a newborn and a business!
I love to photograph! What I like most about my job, except that it’s wonderfully creative and free, is that I constantly get to meet new people! From all parts of society. From birth and forward… Often I share important moments in people’s lives. It gives me an adrenaline rush and my soul nourishment.
My ambition is to capture the customer on a personal, professional and keen unique way. My pictures have an emphasis on feeling and presence. Either I catch the feeling in a picture or the image creates a feeling in the viewer. I make sure that the customer feels secure during the shoot and that the customer can relax and have fun. If the laughter is not genuine, it appears in the results! Many say afterwards that they thought it was a really fun experience and I think this is a good rating. I love playing with composition and light! Preferably, I work with natural light and outside the studio. I notice that everyone relaxes better then! Is there a need, I use flash and/or studio equipment.
The assignments include to photograph businesses, entrepreneurs, wedding photography, news photography, reportage photography, portraits and interiors. I also work as a graphic designer, which means that our customers can get complete solutions where both photography and graphic design is included. I work including the layout of printed matter and with collage/illustration. Education: Kulturamas vocational school in Stockholm. Jönköping University, RBI’s Illustration & Graphic design and then I’m autodidact. Every year I participate in various courses and workshops, to learn new things because I believe in lifelong learning and also for inspiration.
I live in Skåne but love traveling, both in Europe and in Sweden. I love to go to Stockholm, Gotland or Norrland for reportage and wedding. I also work happily in Denmark and speaks fluent Danish after living nine years in Copenhagen. Mallorca is also very close to my heart and I love doing weddings there!
